We are currently doing fables, folktales, myths, and legends. Do you think any of these books would fall under that category? I think my students would really enjoy doing these activities if I could tie it into our reading.

I believe that almost all of these stories are based on some sort of true story. So, I do not think they will fall under those categories! I am sorry!
I taught 2nd for 9 years and this was my first in 3rd. I tired to create some fun units with my students that went along with great books. I came across this today as I'm trying to find new books for next year. OMG! I'm in love with your website and all your ideas. I can't wait to do this next year with my students. I'm even more excited that Stone Fox is only $1 on Scholastic or 50 points. I have over 9,000 points so I will be getting a complete class set for next year. So excited. My husband thinks I'm crazy. The things teachers get excited about. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.
That is amazing! I am excited for you! I love this book!
