We LOVE this book! It is all about a man who thinks he isn’t loved and through a series of unfortunate events learned that he really is loved.

This is a sweet story about a how one little act of kindness can have a ripple effect and change the lives of others.

Ballad of Valentine by Allison Jackson

This is a real little love story for your learners. This is all about a girl who misses her admirer who is showing her love notes right in front of her.

 

Love Monster by Rachel Bright

Don’t you just love this sweet book?! This book is all about how no one loves this monster because of his looks and he finds someone to love them. We usually do a writing piece to go with this about what makes us each unique.

Oh Valentine You’ve Lost Your Mind by Dan Gutman

Guys, my students love these books. They are basically the Junie B. Jones books of upper elementary. In this book the class gets a foreign exchange student from France which adds to great discussion! This is a perfect simple read aloud.

Cam Jansen #25: The Valentine’s Day Mystery by David A. Adler

I love a good mystery! They are quick and easy to read, but they also captivate the student’s attention. This is a fun one where Cam’s mom is in the hospital to give birth to her siblings, but of course a mystery shows up! I have an entire lesson to go with this book here! 

Nate the Great and the Mushy Valentine by Marjorie Weinman Sharmat

Another fun mystery! Mystery books are always great! In this one, Nate hates mushy Valentine’s Day stuff. But then someone gives him a valentine and he has to figure out who his admirer is!
